Identification of personal skills and qualities, Resume writing and Cover letter.
Participants
- use strategies to identify their personal skills and qualities
- adapt the skills and qualities to form a skills based resume
- develop a cover letter
- complete relevant standardised workplace skills assessments such as Microsoft Office. The assessments will be emailed to the participant. After completing the test, students will receive computer generated results outlining their level of achievement.

The Interview
Participants practice or discuss techniques for successful interviewing including
- Preparation
- Making an entrance
- Questions and answers
- Leaving an impression
- Participants complete relevant standardised workplace skills assessments such as Microsoft Office. The assessments will be emailed to the participant. After completing the test, students will receive computer generated results outlining their level of achievement.
Workshop 3

Addressing selection criteria
Participants
- discuss criteria
- develop strategies to address key words
- brainstorm strong examples
- collect a number of writing strategies for applications
- address criteria using specific format
- link criterion examples to evidence
- Participants complete relevant standardised workplace skills assessments. The assessments will be emailed to the participant. After completing the test, participants will receive computer generated results outlining their level of achievement.
Workshop 4
The Job Seekers Toolkit
Portfolio preparation and presentation
Participants engage in preparation and writing sessions where each aspect of the process is
discussed, analysed and addressed using specific strategies. Examples of portfolios are available for perusal.
